Donate & Support
NightWatch relies on consistent financial support and donations. Here’s how you can help:
FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Your financial contributions to NightWatch allow us to pay for fuel and repairs for NightWatch vehicles (mobile kitchen and van) and to purchase items to supplement those which are donated. We purchase in bulk quantities at discounted prices from various local merchants.
Please send your tax-deductible contribution to:

IMPORTANT: You must write “NightWatch” in the memo line of your check or include a note indicating that the donation is for NightWatch so that your donation will be credited properly. Thank you!
SNACKS
We make and distribute approximately 40-60 snack bags each week. Typical items in a snack bag are: chips, crackers, Slim Jims, fruit snacks, candy, bagged nuts, protein bars. We accept donations of any items that would be appropriate to include in snack bags. All items must be individual portion sized, individually wrapped and non-perishable. We accept donations of individual snack bags items or prepared snack bags, which should be packed in waterproof plastic bags, such as grocery bags or gallon-sized zipper storage bags. (No paper bags, please.)
DRINKS
We distribute approximately 60-100 drinks each week. In the summer, we distribute bottled water and sports drinks. In the winter, we also distribute coffee and hot chocolate. Bottled water and sports drinks are typically in 12 or 16 oz. sizes. We make hot chocolate from individual packets. We accept donations of all of these items.
TOILETRIES & HYGIENE KITS
We distribute approximately 30 hygiene kits each week (and could distribute more if we had them.) Hygiene kits typically contain: shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, body lotion. We also like to include hand sanitizer or anti-bacterial wash, cleansing wipes, wash cloth, razor, shaving cream, and other items, as available. All items must be new and unused. We accept donations of individual toiletry items or prepared hygiene kits, which should be packed in waterproof plastic bags, such as grocery bags or gallon-sized zipper storage bags. (No paper bags, please.)
Note: 1.) DEODORANT: If possible, please choose deodorants that could be used by either a man or a woman. 2.) MOUTHWASH: Must not contain alcohol. 3.) FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS: We serve more men than women, so we prefer to prepare “generic” hygiene kits. If you’re preparing complete hygiene kits for NightWatch, you may choose to make separate kits for women, or you may send boxes of feminine products along with your kits and we’ll distribute those as needed.
BLANKETS
We distribute hundreds of blankets each year through NightWatch, especially during the winter. We need thermal and/or waterproof blankets. All donated blankets should be new and unused.
BIBLES
We distribute (new, unused) Bibles each week during NightWatch. We have a particular need for large-print or giant-print Bibles.
DONATION LOCATION
If you’d like to donate any of the above items, please bring your donations, marked “NIGHTWATCH,” to the Salvation Army Family Store at 307 W. Lee Street in Greensboro. (Map)
